The annual Viking Festival is arranged at the Viking Farm at Avaldsnes during a whole weekend every June. The Saint Olav Festival at Stiklestad: 24th – 31th July, 2016

spelet2015The Saint Olav Festival at Stiklestad is a festival based on the Saint Olav Drama “Spelet om Heilag Olav”. The drama are performed every year at the end of July at Scandinavia’s largest open-air stage.

THE SAINT OLAV DRAMA are held: July 27th, 29th, 30th og 31th. This is a dramatisation of the events that occurred just prior to the Battle of Stiklestad. The four performances every year form the basis, spiced with a medieval marked, art exhibition, many different concerts, theatre performances, seminars and much more.

 The medieval market during the Saint Olav Festival is an experience for all generations. The areas around the Long House and Stiklastadir Farm are magically converted into a large medieval Viking village. – Read more
